SAUNA FAQ’s

  • Please arrive with plenty of time to park and arrive 10 minutes early for your session.

    You will need to bring two towels for your session and a bottle of drinking water.

    There is a changing area outside the sauna under a canopy but come ready to sauna with a change of clothes for afterwards .
    The sauna will be ready for you. When stoking the sauna fire, we aim for temperatures between 70-90degrees C.

    You may add water to the hot stones in the sauna, should you wish to create more loyly/steam (there is the option of adding water infused with essential oils should you wish, so please ask if this is something you would like to experience.

    You will have an hour to use the sauna how you choose. Feel free to hop in and out, doing as many rounds as you like during that hour. You may want to cool off between rounds by plunging into our cold water bath ,dipping in the sea – or a cold shower to reinvigorate your body! But remember to be kind to yourself and listen to your body’s needs.
    A sauna attendant will be on hand throughout your session, should you require any assistance. We also have saltscubs and facemasks to detox your skin , these can be booked online prior to your session or on the day .

  • Children over the age of 5 years old can sauna with parental supervision and guidance on a one to one ration ,You will need to sign the waiver on booking. Remember you know your child best. The sauna stove and surfaces will be hot, so close supervision & guidance is essential.

    Children aren’t as able to regulate their body temperature as grown ups so they will need to be in & out more frequently, Children are not allowed near the stove and are not permitted to pour water on the coals as theres a risk of scalding and can not be left unsupervised in the sauna at any time .

  • Yes theres a big car park at Lancing beach , its £1.50 for two hours or £4 all day.

    Theres also free on street parking nearby.

  • We are on the beach next to the Kiosk at the side of Perch restaurant ( BN15 8RA ) on Lancing Beach , right on the pebbles.

  • The postcode is BN15 8RA, Lancing Beach, Brighton Road Lancing.

    The 700 bus runs every 15 minutes from Brighton and Worthing
    Lancing train station is a 20 minute walk away and is a mainline station from London, Brighton and Portsmouth.

  • A sauna in the rain and cold is extremely enjoyable, however If the weather forecast is for severe wind we will contact you to reschedule your session or refund your payment.

    If you need to cancel or reschedule your sauna session, this must be done with 48 hours notice to allow for the session to be re-advertised.
    If you choose to cancel or reschedule with less than 48hours notice, you will not be refunded.

  • There are public toilets open until 8pm in the summer and 4pm in the winter Beach Green kiosk serves delicious take away food and drink and is open from February to November.

    Perch restaurant is open all year from 9am and offers delicious food and drink to eat in or take away and can be booked in advance.

    Beach Green hotel is a stones throw from the beach and has a lovely beer garden.

  • Sessions last an hour but you can book two hours if you prefer to take your time, relax and unwind, however you shouldn’t be in the sauna the entire time. We recommend sauna sessions of 5-15 mins with lots of breaks or dips in the sea cold plunges or relaxing in our deck chairs.

    Make sure you arrive at least 10 minutes early ready to sauna and make full use of your slot. Please be aware that your session time includes changing time, five minutes before the end of your slot we will ask you to vacate the sauna so we can clean the sauna ready for the next group.

  • We want our customers to enjoy their experience and while the sauna can fit 10 people we limit the number to eight to allow some space to relax and unwind.

    If you have a larger group or want to customise your experience Just drop us an email and we can look at a session to cater for your needs.

  • We allow sufficient time between sessions to clean the sauna thoroughly and ensure everyone gets the same prisitine experience. As with any authentic Finnish Sauna, there is proper ventilation and airflow so the room never becomes stuffy or smelly.

    We also ask everyone to take a quick shower or dip before entering the sauna. You will need to bring a towel into the sauna to sit on.
    Because of the high temperatures and good ventilation, Finnish saunas are actually a very hygienic place.

Take time to recharge your mind and body, sit for a moment, breathe and relax.

The sauna will be all yours for an hour to relax and unwind. Maybe try a dead sea salt scrub to detox your body, plunge into the ice bath or take a dip in the sea. It will leave you feeling amazing and reenergised.
